PM about Belarus-Russia integration documents: Only technicalities remain

MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia only need to agree on some technicalities in the Union State integration programs, Belarus Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko told the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA informs.

“Substantial progress has been made. In fact, we just need to reconcile some technical issues. I am in close contact with the Russian head of government. The vice premiers get in touch with each other on a weekly basis. It is highly likely that the entire package of the Union State programs will be ready within the remaining months,” Roman Golovchenko said.

According to him, this will pave the way for a new plan of work in the Union State. “We have agreed on how we will converge the legislations and how we will create a level playing field for businesses through adopting uniform regulations, tax administration and tax structure. I am sure that the Union State programs will benefit everyone,” the prime minister emphasized.

“Having a coordinated action plan, we will build a better understanding of how to jointly grow our industry and agriculture. This is actually a coordination headquarters that will help us avoid spending money on building the same competencies,” Roman Golovchenko said.
