MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – The Industry Ministry plans to set up multi-brand centers to sell Belarusian machinery in non-CIS countries, First Deputy Industry Minister Aleksandr Ogorodnikov said at the final session of the Industry Ministry board, BelTA has learned.
Following the instructions of the head of state and government, the concept of unified multi-brand sales and service centers for Belarusian equipment in the regions of Russia was adopted in 2023.
“The decision to create such centers is designed to help maintain positions in the key market for enterprises of the Industry Ministry, increase the efficiency of product distribution channels, eliminate intermediary sales structures and provide consumers with prices that are as close as possible to factory-gate prices,” said Aleksandr Ogorodnikov.
According to him, work is underway to create multi-brand centers in Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan, Novosibirsk Oblast, Primorye Territory, Kemerovo Oblast, Rostov Oblast, Krasnodar Krai, Stavropol Krai, and St. Petersburg.
“The creation of such centers is directed by MTZ, MAZ and BelAZ. In the future, other enterprises will join in. Almost all enterprises of this industrial sector will be involved in this work,” noted the first deputy minister. “We are considering scaling up this practice in non-CIS countries.”
