Mozyr Oil Refinery processes more oil in January-February

MOZYR, 31 March (BelTA) – In January-February 2021 Mozyr Oil Refinery processed 1.563 million tonnes of oil, 162.5% as against the same period of last year, BelTA learned from representatives of the enterprise.

According to preliminary estimates, Mozyr Oil Refinery will process 815,000 tonnes of oil in March.

The company hit performance targets in 2020. It processed over 8.99 million tonnes of hydrocarbon raw materials. The oil conversion ratio totaled 84.4%, with the output of light oil products at 65.2%. The production of high-octane gasolines increased. The output growth rate of AI-95 gasoline reached 118% as against 2019, with the output growth rate of AI-100 gasoline up by 2.9 times (291%).

Bitumen was described as the driver behind Mozyr Oil Refinery's manufacturing in 2020. The company made and sold 605,000 tonnes of bitumen or 116% as against 2019.

Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko and State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich visited Mozyr Oil Refinery on 31 March. They were made familiar with progress in implementing the investment project, which envisages the construction of a heavy oil hydrocracking complex. They went to the construction site and took a look at the heavy oil hydrocracking complex together with Gomel Oblast Governor Gennady Solovei and Mozyr Oil Refinery Director General Vitaly Pavlov. The company's financial and economic performance was also discussed.

Mozyr Oil Refinery was commissioned in 1975. It was converted into a public joint-stock company (OAO) in 1994. The company specializes in refining oil and making and selling oil products. The products are exported to over 20 countries.
