Deficit of Belarus' central state budget at Br1.3bn in January-February

MINSK, 31 March (BelTA) – The deficit of the central state budget of Belarus amounted to Br1.3 billion in January-February 2021, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Finance Ministry.

Revenues of the central state budget totaled Br3.8 billion, or 16.3% of the revised annual target.

Proceeds from value added tax came at Br2.6 billion (19.1% of the target), profit tax – Br30 million (0.9%), excise duties – Br0.5 billion (17.6%). Revenues from foreign trade operations totaled Br0.7 billion (18.6%).

The central state budget spent Br5.1 billion, or 17.7% of the revised annual target.

As much as Br3.1 billion (23.2%) was spent on nationwide activities, Br0.8 billion (12.9%) on financing the national economy, Br3 billion (15.5%) on financing the social sphere (social policy, education, healthcare, physical training, sport, culture, and mass media).

The deficit of the public administration sector budget totaled Br1.37 billion in January-February 2021. Revenues made up Br8.47 billion (15.7% of the revised annual target) while expenses stood at Br9.84 billion (16.6%).

The surplus of the Social Security Fund budget reached Br0.05 billion, with revenues at Br3.24 billion and expenses at Br3.19 billion.

As of 1 March 2021 the arrears on tax and duty payments stood at Br157.6 million.
