MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) is hosting its annual consultations between Belarusian businesses and heads of Belarus’ diplomatic missions on foreign market operations, BelTA has learned.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavel Utyupin noted the strong business turnout at the ambassador meetings, describing the format as a proven success. Having served as an ambassador himself, he praised the format: “The role of the BelCCI cannot be overstated. The association plays a pivotal role as a national export finance support institution. The chamber organizes numerous high-profile events, including those with heads of state and government. For instance, last year alone saw over 500 events – a huge number.”
It is for a reason that the business-diplomat meetings are taking place at the Minsk International Exhibition Center. Addressing the ambassadors and business executives in attendance, BelCCI Chairman Mikhail Myatlikov highlighted the importance of participating in the upcoming INNOPROM offsite exhibition that will start on 29 September at the same venue: “All exhibition spaces are already sold out. The Belarusian section will occupy 6,000m2, with foreign exhibitors covering 8,000m2. Outdoor displays are now being mounted. Attendees from dozens of countries are expected. This will be the first event of this scale in the country’s modern history.”
