
MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian tractor manufacturer Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) and the Kazakh company TOO KamLit have signed an agreement on interaction in manufacturing, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Kazakhstan.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kazakhstan Aleksei Bogdanov and a Belarusian delegation led by MTZ Director General Sergei Avramenko went to the city of Kostanay on 15 October where they visited two major machine-building plants. In particular, Machine-Building Plant MTZ-Kazakhstan, which specializes in manufacturing tractors and selling them under the Belarus brand (aka MTZ), and TOO KamLit, which makes parts for special-purpose vehicles and automobiles.
As a result of negotiations with TOO KamLit the parties agreed to establish manufacturing cooperation ties and consider the possibility of getting the Kazakh enterprise to make parts for Machine-Building Plant MTZ-Kazakhstan and the Belarusian company MTZ. As a practical step the parties signed an agreement on manufacturing cooperation between Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) and TOO KamLit.
Apart from that, the Belarusian delegation visited TOO Trading House Belarusian Tractor in the city of Astana and TOO Kazakh Agro Innovation Corporation in the city of Kokshetau. The delegation was made familiar with manufacturing processes and held negotiations with the management of these organizations. The parties focused attention on further increase in production and on promoting MTZ tractors on the Kazakh market. Preparations for the next session of the Belarus-Kazakhstan Business Cooperation Council were discussed. The session is scheduled to take place in Astana on 6 November 2025.
