MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – Belarusian companies are ready to supply meat and dairy products, as well as other farm produce to Mozambique. The matter was discussed at a meeting between Belarus' Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo and Ambassador of Mozambique to Russia with concurrent accreditation to Belarus Mario Saraiva Ngwenya, BelTA learned from the press service of the ministry.
“The parties are considering options for cooperation between the two countries in agriculture and food. The Meat and Dairy Company has sent a commercial offer to interested partners,” the press service said. Apart from supplies, the parties discussed cooperation in science and human resources.
Belarus' Ministry of Agriculture and Food has been systematically working on geographical diversification of exports. Agricultural products and foodstuffs were supplied to 104 countries in 2019. The new markets on the African continent were Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Kenya, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, Sudan and Uganda.
