Belarus’ food exports up 13% in H1 2025

MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – Exports of Belarusian food products and agricultural raw materials grew by 13% in the first half of 2025, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

“Our main export items are meat and dairy products, and also crop products. The steady growth is achieved, among other things, through the monitoring of prices for certain types of food products when they are sold for export. The price monitoring is conducted by the Agriculture and Food Ministry. Tracking the situation on the markets and changes in exchange quotations is part of the daily work of regulating foreign economic activity,” the press service said.

The dynamics of exchange indicators for some dairy products have been showing a downward trend since the end of August this year. As part of its work to monitor the situation on markets of interest, the Agriculture and Food Ministry adjusted the export prices for whole milk powder and butter by Decree No.71 of 22 August 2025 “On Setting Minimum Threshold Prices”.

At the same time, following the trend of rising meat prices, export prices for beef when sold to certain markets were increased by similar Decree No.77 of 2 September 2025.

“These measures make it possible to respond promptly to changes in market conditions and increase the volume of export supplies,” the press service said.
