Two gold medals for Paralympian Ihar Boki in Dublin

MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) – Paralympian Ihar Boki won two gold medals at the start of the 2018 Para-Swimming Allianz European Championships in Dublin, Ireland, BelTA informs.

The Belarusian clocked 53.95 seconds to clinch the champion title in the Men's 100m Butterfly S13 event, just 0.1 second off his world record time. In the Men's 100m Breaststroke S13 Ihar Boki swam to gold in 1:05.97. Silver in the event went to another Belarusian Vladimir Izotov who stopped the clock on 1:07.69.

Ihar Boki is an 11-time Paralympics champion.

Georgy Zudilov of Belarus sealed the European title in the Men's 50m Freestyle S11 in 27.01 seconds.

Belarus' Aleksandra Svadkovskaya finished third in the Women's 100m Breaststroke SB9. Bronze medal also went to Abastasia Zudilova in the Women's 100m Breaststroke SB12.

The 2018 Para-Swimming European Championships in Dublin will be over on 19 August.
