MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Belarusian junior basketball players will get a good game practice at the Semyon Khalipsky Memorial Tournament in Minsk, Head Coach of the Belarusian national team Natalia Trofimova said at BelTA's press center.
Before, the International Semyon Khalipsky Memorial Tournament was held with the participation of national teams only. This year a decision was taken to hold the competitions among the junior teams. Taking part in this year's tournament will be U17 teams from China, Estonia and the Czech Republic. Matches will be played at Minsk Palace of Sports on 15-17 June.
The schedule of the forthcoming tournament:
15 June
16.00 – China vs Estonia;
17.45 – the official opening ceremony;
18.30 – Belarus vs Czechia.
16 June
15.00 – Czechia vs China;
17.30 – Estonia vs Belarus.
17 June
15.00 – Czechia vs Estonia;
17.30 – Belarus vs China;
19.15 – the awards ceremony, the closing ceremony.
Belarus U17 team will play against France, Japan and Colombia in Group A at the 2018 FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup.
