Belarus clinch 26 medals at Altyn Mergen Grand Prix in Shymkent

MINSK, 29 February (BelTA) - The international shooting event Altyn Mergen Grand Prix has completed in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, BelTA has learned.

Taking part in the tournament were 230 athletes from six countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. On the final competition day Belarus bagged two more medals: the 10m air pistol mixed team gold (Aliaksandra Piatrova and Vladislav Demesh) and silver in the same event (Nadezhda Leonovets and Ivan Kazak).

Team Belarus won a total of 26 (6, 10, 10) medals at the Altyn Mergen Grand Prix in Shymkent. Earlier, champion titles were secured by Zoya Dasko, Aliaksandra Piatrova and Lizaveta Tsydzik. Uladzimir Sholakhau won the men’s 10m air pistol event and was also victorious in the junior 10m air pistol. 

The Altyn Mergen Grand Prix featured 25 medal events: 16 adult, six junior and three mixed team events.
