Andrei Vasilevsky advances into ATP Slovenia Open 2017 final

MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – Andrei Vasilevsky of Belarus reached the ATP Slovenia Open 2017 doubles final in Portoroz, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian player together with Hans Podlipnik Castillo of Chile defeated the Italian duo of Matteo Berrettini and Flavio Cipolla 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinal. In the final Andrei Vasilevsky and Hans Podlipnik Castillo will face Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic and Franko Skugor of Croatia.

In September 2017 Andrei Vasilevsky may replace Yaroslav Shilo in the Davis Cup Switzerland-Belarus doubles rubber. The news came from Yaroslav Shilo who is currently playing in an international tournament in Minsk. In his words, Andrei Vasilevsky is in a very good form and is able to considerably strengthen the team in the game scheduled for 16 September.
