MINSK, 19 November (BelTA) – Belarus' Interior Minister Igor Shunevich does not rule out the possibility of starting criminal proceedings against the Belarusian nationals involved in combat activities in south-east Ukraine. The minister made the relevant statement on 19 November, BelTA has learned.
“We have some credible pieces of evidence which, I think, will provide grounds for initiating criminal proceedings under corresponding articles in the near future,” Igor Shunevich said. He explained that this applies to dozens of nationals whom Belarusian law enforcement agencies know to be involved in combat activities in south-east Ukraine on both sides.
“Everything will depend on the amount of evidence we collect,” the Minister added.
