BREST, 10 August (BelTA) – The 11th edition of the international youth seminar Unity organized by the Brest Eparchy is taking place in Pruzhany District, Brest Oblast, on 9-11 August, BelTA learned from head of the youth department of the eparchy Pavel Romanovich.
Taking part in the forum are Eastern Orthodox believers from Belarus, Poland, Ukraine and Russia. In particular, delegates were sent by youth communities from Lublin, Bialystok, Hajnowka, Smolensk, Kaliningrad, Lutsk, and Vladimir-Volynsky. About 450 people are taking part in the event.
A camping site was traditionally arranged on the territory of Nikolsky Skete of the Brest Convent of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin.
The ongoing seminar commemorates the 370th anniversary of martyrdom of holy hieromartyr Athanasius of Brest. The central event of the forum is the seminar People of the Church. The seminar will be attended by Archbishop of Brest and Kobrin Joann. He will take part in a plenary session and answer questions of the youth. After that the participants will be grouped into sections.
The program of the event includes a concert and a gathering around a fireplace, a volleyball tournament, and master classes.More about Society
