Lukashenko urges efficient use of stonepickers, other machines

KOSTYUKOVICHI DISTRICT, 30 April (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko was shown stonepickers during his working trip to Kostyukovichi District on 30 April, BelTA has learned.

The head of state noted that after his instructions to remove stones from fields, "our self-exiled scoundrels became concerned" that farms involve people in this work, including schoolchildren, students, and the military, while in other countries they use special machines for this.

In this regard, Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that stonepickers were available back during his work in the agricultural sector.

"But we must spend money wisely. You can't use these machines everywhere," the president said.
He explained that it is advisable to use stonepickers on the fields where there are really a lot of stones. In places where there are fewer of them, it is better to use manual labor.

"We have stonepickers. But we just need to use them efficiently," the head of state stressed.

As the president has been reported, the domestic stonepicker is 40% cheaper than a Polish one. At the moment, the localization is 85%, but work is underway to bring it to 100%.

A number of other domestic pieces of equipment were shown to Aleksandr Lukashenko, for example, a seeder.

The president also instructed to work on reducing the cost of production.
