Ukraine talks resume in Minsk

MINSK, 17 November (BelTA) – The Ukraine peace talks have resumed in Minsk, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The talks on the settlement of the Ukraine crisis have started in Minsk with a meeting between the coordinators of the working groups,” the ministry said. A regular meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group with expanded membership is expected to take place on the same day.

BelTA reported earlier that OSCE Special Representative in the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine Martin Sajdik informed journalists that the Ukrainian side presented the concept of the draft law on peculiarities of applying the Ukrainian law on local elections during early local elections in some districts of Donetsk and Lugansk Oblasts. He did not give any details of the concept.

The organization of local elections in some districts of Donetsk and Lugansk Oblasts remains high on the agenda of the Ukraine peace talks.
