MINSK, 25 January (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Belarus Fionna Gibb to congratulate her on the beginning of her diplomatic mission in Belarus on 25 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties discussed promising areas for Fionna Gibb's work in Belarus, exchanged views on the ways to further intensify the dialogue between Belarus and the UK, and between Belarus and the European Union,” the press service said.
Fionna Gibb presented copies of her credentials to Vladimir Makei who, in turn, wished her every success with her work in Belarus.
