Utility companies of Ukraine's Mariupol get 15 MAZ buses

MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) – The Ukrainian city of Mariupol hosted a ceremony to present 15 comfortable low-floor high-capacity buses manufactured by Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) to local utility companies. The ceremony was attended by Mariupol Mayor Vadim Boychenko and Pavel Zhebrivsky, the head of Donetsk Regional State Administration. The information is posted on the website of the Belarusian Embassy in Ukraine, BelTA has learned.

The buses were delivered within the framework of the Mariupol transport development strategy and a tender won by Minsk Automobile Plant in November 2016.

The MAZ buses supplied to Mariupol meet the Euro 5 emissions standards, have air conditioners and information systems, and are suitable for servicing people with limited mobility. Each bus can carry a hundred passengers.

Some time ago, a ceremony was held in Ivano-Frankovsk to hand over new firefighting vehicles based on MAZ chassis to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The ceremony was attended by President Petro Poroshenko. The machinery was supplied under a tender lodged by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and won by Minsk Automobile Plant in July 2016.
