Private sector to contribute more to Belarus' export efforts

MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) – The private sector will be more actively involved in efforts to increase Belarus' export. The relevant measures are stipulated by the agreement on interaction between the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship in 2016-2020. The document will be signed in Minsk on 27 May, BelTA learned from Dmitry Mironchik, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the source, the agreement is aimed at getting entrepreneurship circles involved in the government's efforts to increase export. The official reminded that the matter was discussed during the Belarus president's meeting with the Italian president in Rome. Small and medium businesses in Italy play a major role in the development of the national economy.

Dmitry Mironchik explained that the agreement had been prepared within the framework of the national program on supporting and developing export, the program on Belarus' social and economic development in 2016-2020, and as part of preparations for the Belarusian People's Congress, during which close attention will be paid to foreign economic activities.
