GOMEL, 19 December (BelTA) – The Pakistani oil and gas development company OGDCL is interested in the Belarusian experience of introducing modern oil recovery enhancement methods, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft.
These matters were thoroughly discussed between Belorusneft representatives and members of the Pakistani company's delegation. During the talks in Gomel the sides agreed to consider their cooperation options for introducing modern oil recovery enhancement methods, delivering drilling equipment, and sharing the best practices. Prospects of implementing high-tech oil industry projects and the provision of oil industry services in Pakistan were also discussed. The services may include seismic exploration operations, drilling operations, capital and routine repairs of wells, designing and survey work for the better exploration of deposits.
While in Gomel the Pakistani delegation took a close look at the research and technology potential of Belorusneft. The delegation visited labs and divisions of the company's oil industry research institute BelNIPIneft. The delegation also went on a tour of industrial bases of the company's field seismic operations division and the plugging operations division. The Pakistani delegation saw up close and personal how the equipment designed to increase oil recovery works.
Cooperation between Belorusneft and OGDCL began during the official visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to Pakistan in October 2016. During the visit representatives of a large number of Belarusian industrial companies, including top officials of the Belarusian petrochemical concern Belneftekhim and representatives of Belarusian petrochemical companies, went to Pakistan.
OGDCL (Oil and Gas Development Company Limited) of Pakistan was established in 1966. The company specializes in prospecting and developing deposits, extracting hydrocarbon resources, and transporting them. The company's assets include 47 oil and gas deposits all over the country.

The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction in Belarus and a number of other countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
