MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) – An interagency working group has been set up to work out proposals for a draft program to develop competition in Belarus according to executive order No. 100p of the Belarusian Prime Minister of 22 March 2017, BelTA learned from the press service of the government.
The working group is led by First Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Matyushevsky. The task of the group is to analyze the legislation taking into account past experience, find out the provisions limiting competition in certain scopes of activity and work out proposals to amend the legislation to promote competition.
If necessary, the interagency working group may invite and enlist the cooperation of heads and specialists of national governmental bodies and other governmental organizations subject to the government, specialists of academic and educational institutions, associations of entrepreneurs and other organizations, international experts and request the necessary information.
The Belarusian Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade has been requested to provide organizational support for the interagency working group, to analyze its proposals and submit the draft competition program to the Council of Ministers by 1 December 2017.
