Belgrade invites Minsk to revitalize cooperation in tourism

MINSK, 29 June (BelTA) – We need to cooperate more actively in tourism, Mayor of Belgrade Sinisa Mali said when speaking at the Belarusian-Serbian Business Forum in Minsk on 29 June, BelTA has learned.

“I hope we will revitalize bilateral relations in the tourism sector to ensure that more Serbs visit Belarus and that our peoples get to know each other better,” Sinisa Mali noted.

Belgrade has recently resumed direct air service to New York. According to the Mayor of the Serbian capital, the national airline Air Serbia will be happy to see Belarusian tourists among its passengers. Sinisa Mali also invited representatives of the Belarusian travel industry to attend the international tourist expo due in Belgrade in February 2017.

Sinisa Mali suggested reinvigorating investment cooperation. “We will fight for every new investor. It is our goal, policy and strategy and we will stick to it. I would like Minsk and Belarus to participate in these projects. I hope that our relations will be gaining momentum and that next year, when we host a Belarusian delegation in Belgrade, we will have new trolleybuses from Minsk, and new joint investment projects,” Sinisa Mali noted.
