Belarusian meat and dairy companies stay committed to high standards of quality

MINSK, 7 February (BelTA) – Belarusian meat and dairy companies adhere to the highest standards of quality, Nadezhda Kotkovets, Deputy Head of the Presidential Affairs Department, told BelTA.

“We know the safety and quality requirements. All the companies take these requirements seriously and comply with them in full,” Nadezhda Kotkovets noted.

“Complaints from Russia are immediately analyzed and dealt with. In the majority of cases these are accompanying documents,” she said. Nadezhda Kotkovets added that Belarusian products are very popular with Russian consumers today.

With the Russian market remaining a priority both from the point of view of logistics and prices, Belarusian companies have made great headway in advancing their products to other markets: Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine. “Our food products are competitive on any market,” Nadezhda Kotkovets stressed.

Nadezhda Kotkovets took part in the roundtable titled as Innovative Technologies in Dairy Cattle Breeding. The session was attended by representatives of Russia's Tomsk Oblast. This Russian region shows interest in studying the latest technologies in the Belarusian agriculture and dairy cattle breeding. During the roundtable session the Tomsk Oblast delegation suggested building up cooperation between Tomsk and Belarusian agrarian universities, organizing on-the-job training for farmers in Belarus and working jointly on promising scientific projects.
