Belarus resolute to help South Africa develop production sector, agriculture

MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – Belarus is determined to do as much as it can to help South Africa develop its production sector and agriculture. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to South Africa Alexander Sidoruk made the statement as he presented his credentials to South Africa President Jacob Zuma, representatives of the Belarusian diplomatic mission told BelTA.

The ambassador noted that Belarus and South Africa are connected by decades of true friendship, which began when the Soviet Union helped the African nation fight the apartheid regime. The ambassador stressed that Belarus is resolute to help South Africa with developing the production sector and agriculture as well as the IT sector, including by teaching students from South Africa in Belarus.

The Belarusian diplomat confirmed Belarus' resolve to further advance and bolster the bilateral dialogue and relations with South Africa across the board for the sake of interests of both countries and nations.
