Belarus reduces export duties on oil, petroleum products

MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) – On 1 August 2018 Belarus reduced customs duties on oil and petroleum products, which are exported beyond the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The decision is laid down by the Council of Ministers' resolution No.571 of 28 July 2018, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The export duty on crude oil was decreased from $139.1 to $135.4 per tonne. The export duty on straight-run gasoline went down from $76.5 to $74.4 per tonne, with the export duty on commercial gasoline reducing from $41.7 to $40.6 per tonne.

The export duty on light and medium distillates now makes up $40.6 per tonne, down from $41.7. The same rate is applied to diesel fuel, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants, and other oils.

The export duties on crude oil and some categories of derivative oil products were previously revised upwards on 1 July.
