Belarus plans to expand industrial production in Moldova

ZASLAVL, 30 September (BelTA) – Belarus plans to increase its industrial production in Moldova, Belarus' Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov told media on 30 September as he commented on the forthcoming official visit to Moldova on 2-3 October, BelTA has learned.

“We have been steadily developing bilateral cooperation. A number of assembly plants have already been set up. We plan new companies and think of increasing production,” Andrei Kobyakov said.

In his words, serious preparations were conducted ahead of the official visit. The program of the visit will include a meeting of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Moldavian commission on trade and economic cooperation that will take stock of the progress made in the development of bilateral cooperation and work out future plans.

“We enjoy a kind, friendly and mutual beneficial atmosphere of cooperation with Moldova. Judging on the materials I have on my table I can say that we are going to make considerable headway as our economies are complementary. I am confident that the visit will be fruitful from the point of view of new contracts and agreements,” Andrei Kobyakov said.
