About 50% of BelCCI Minsk Office programs designed to bolster ties with Russian regions

MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) - About 50% of the programs of the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry are about the cooperation with Russian regions, Director General of the BelCCI Minsk Office Alexander Fedorchuk said at the official opening ceremony of Expo-Russia Belarus 2017 and Minsk Business Forum, BelTA has learned.

“This is the second time the event has been organized in Minsk. Two years ago we concluded more than 60 contracts. We see good prospects for our work this year as well. We hope that the results will be even better than last time. About 400 business negotiations have been scheduled. This is very important in view of the fact that about 50% of the programs implemented by the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce are connected, one way or another, with Russian regions. Almost every month we organize visits to Russia or welcome delegations from different Russian regions. We have more than 70 bilateral agreements. Contracts that are to be established during this exhibition are a guarantee of our successful work in the future,” Alexander Fedorchuk said.

Russian and Belarusian companies are showcasing innovations in traditional, nuclear and alternative energy, agriculture, petrochemical and gas industries, food industry, civil engineering, construction, transport, medicine and pharmacology, communications, telecommunications and education.
