Tokyo 2020 organizers publish first Playbook on safe games

MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) - The International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee (Tokyo 2020) published on 3 February 2021 the first Playbook, a resource which outlines the personal responsibilities key stakeholders must take to play their role in ensuring safe and successful Olympic and Paralympic Games in Japan, BelTA has learned.

Athletes will be required to use of smartphone applications to report health, to avoid physical contact with others, including shaking hands, to keep a 2-meter distance, to plan their actions. In addition, athletes will not be allowed to attend competitions as spectators and all athletes will be required to submit a negative coronavirus test 14 days prior to travel to Tokyo.
