MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) –Ivan Litvinovich of Belarus won silver in the men's individual trampoline event at the 3rd CIS Games in Azerbaijan, BelTA has learned.
The men's medal event on 3 October featured six trampolinists from six countries. Representing the Belarusian team was two-time Olympic champion Ivan Litvinovich, who had posted the top score in the qualification round. However, the Belarusian athlete was unable to replicate his success from two days prior. Ivan faltered on his final element, scoring 57.06 points and taking second place, finishing behind Azerbaijan's Magsud Magsudov (60.19). Bronze went to Nikita Tumanov of Kazakhstan (47.24).
In the current season, Ivan has secured victories at three consecutive World Cup stages. Earlier at the 3rd CIS Games, the Belarusian men's and women's national teams delivered the best results in the team competitions, and Yana Lebedeva claimed gold in the women's individual trampoline event.
