Ivashka triumphs in ATP Challenger first round in India

MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) – Belarusian tennis player Ilya Ivashka has got off to a winning start at the Maha Open ATP Challenger 75 in the Indian city of Pune, BelTA has learned.

In the Round of 32 on 23 February, the Belarusian battled past Argentine Federico Agustin Gomez in a three-setter – 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (9-7). The match lasted 2 hours 25 minutes. 

At the start of the 2026 Megasaray Hotels Open women’s tournament in Türkiye’s Antalya, Belarusian tennis player Iryna Shymanovich lost to Ukrainian Katarina Zavatska, 4-6, 2-6.

The competitions in India and Türkiye will conclude on 1 March.
