HC Dinamo Minsk secure home win against HC CSKA Moscow

MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – HС Dinamo Minsk have won the opener of their two-game home regular championship of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) 2025/26 season, BelTA has learned.

Kicking off the home series, Dmitri Kvartalnov’s team hosted HC CSKA Moscow. The deadlock was broken early in the second period as the Minsk Bisons’ forward Yegor Borikov scored with a sharp wrist shot. Mere 25 seconds later, Vadim Moroz thought he had doubled the home team’s advantage, but upon review, the goal was called back because of a rules violation.
Over the next five minutes, HC CSKA Moscow found themselves shorthanded twice, and HC Dinamo Minsk capitalized on both power plays, with Sam Anas and Andrei Stas being the scorers. With his goal, the American forward Sam Anas stretched his point streak to five games, and the Minsk captain Andrei Stas recorded his first tally of the season.
HC CSKA Moscow narrowed the gap to a single goal in the final frame, however, Nikita Pyshkaylo re-established HC Dinamo Minsk’s two-goal cushion. The final score was sealed by Daniil Sotishvili with an empty-net goal just before the buzzer, making it 5-2.
HC Dinamo Minsk remains in fourth place in the Western Conference standings, having earned 39 points from 28 games. The Minsk Bisons will play their final home game on 22 November against another Moscow team, HC Spartak Moscow. The match at Minsk Arena will start at 5.10 p.m.
