MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – Belarusian tennis player Yuliya Hatouka has advanced to the semifinals of the W15 Sharm ElSheikh 2026 Tennis Tournament in Egypt, BelTA has learned.
In the quarterfinals on 27 February, Hatouka outlasted fellow Belarusian Anna Kubareva, securing a 7-6, 7-6 victory in a grueling 2-hour-15-minute contest decided by two tiebreaks. Earlier, Yuliya Hatouka defeated Germany’s Johanna Silva and Italy’s Verena Meliss. The semifinal on 28 February will see her go up against yet another Italian Camilla Zanolini, with a place in the final on the line.
Also on 28 February, in the doubles semifinals of the Megasaray Hotels Open 2026 tournament in Türkiye’s Antalya, Belarus’ Iryna Shymanovich and Russia’s Maria Kozyreva will face the Argentine-Spanish duo of Julia Riera and Leyre Romero Gormaz.
The competitions in Egypt and Türkiye will conclude on 1 March.
