MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – Best athletes of the Minsk European Games 2019 were named at the General Assembly of the National Olympic Committees Association (ANOC) in Doha, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee.
Russia's Dina Averina was named the best female athlete for winning three gold, one silver and one bronze medals in rhythmic gymnastics.
Italian archer Mauro Nespoli won two gold and one bronze medals to earn the title of the best male athlete of the games.
Attending the General Assembly are more than 1,000 delegates of the national Olympic committees, the International Olympic Committee and the organizing committee of the forthcoming Olympic Games. The National Olympic Committee of the Belarus is represented by Acting First Vice President Viktor Lukashenko and Secretary General George Katulin.
