MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) - Belarusian cyclist Palina Konrad came within a step of a medal at the 2026 UEC Track Elite European Championships taking place in Konya, Türkiye, BelTA has learned.
Palina Konrad competed in two disciplines. In the women’s individual pursuit, she finished 11th, and in the women’s points race she placed fourth among twenty participants, scoring 25 points. The podium featured Belgium’s Lotte Kopecky (45 points), France’s Victoire Berteau (38), and Dutch rider Sofie van Rooijen (33).
In the men’s and women’s omnium events, Belarusians Dzianis Mazur and Hanna Tserakh finished in 19th place. Hanna Tserakh also placed 11th in the 500m time trial, Varvara Basiakova was 18th in that event, and Iryna Chuyankova finished 14th in the women’s individual pursuit. Artsiom Zaitsau and Aliaksandr Hlova exited the sprint competition at the 1/16 final stage. The 2026 UEC Track Elite European Championships in Türkiye will be over on 5 February.
