MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – Ilya Ivashka of Belarus has reached Hersonissos Challenger 3 in Greece, BelTA has learned.
In the qualifying final, the Belarusian defeated Israeli player Amit Vales in a three-set match (3-6, 6-1, 6-0). Earlier in the first qualifying round, Ilya Ivashka overcame Greek player Christos Antonopoulos (6-4, 6-1). Meanwhile, at L’Aquila Challenger in Todi, Italy, Belarus’ Ivan Liutarevich lost in straight sets to Italy’s Gianmarco Ferrari (5-7, 4-6) in the decisive qualifying match. Ivan Liutarevich had defeated Bolivia’s Federico Zeballos (6-3, 7-5) in the opening round.
At W15 Huntsville in the USA, Belarus’ Yuliya Hatouka is set to face Piper Charney of the USA in the round of Last 32.
