MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) – Belarus' tennis player Victoria Azarenka made it into the 2019 ESPN World Fame 100 list of the most famous women athletes in the world, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian ranked 15th. The ESPN's fourth annual ranking of the 100 most famous female athletes in the world was topped by U.S. tennis player Serena Williams. Second went Russia's Maria Sharapova, third Sania Mirza from India.
The names were ranked based on a formula that took into account three fame factors: Google search scores, endorsement dollars and social media following.
Victoria Azarenka has also been invited to take part in the annual World Team Tennis. The Belarusian will play for Orange County Breakers. The tournament is scheduled for 14-31 July.
