MINSK, 19 May (BelTA) – Anastasiya Shkurdai of Belarus placed 6th in the women's 100m butterfly at the 2021 European Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian, who was in the top three in the first half of the distance, clocked 58.01 seconds.
Greece's Anna Ntountounaki and Marie Wattel of France claimed gold medals clocking 57.37 seconds both. Bronze went to Louise Hansson of Sweden (57.56).
In the women's 50m backstroke semifinal Anastasiya Shkurdai tounched in 8th in 29.16 seconds. Kathleen Dawson of the UK set a new record of the championship in the event's final (27.19).
