Youth of Belarus, Russia working on joint business projects

MINSK, 27 November (BelTA) – The youth of Belarus and Russia are interested in implementing joint projects in business and entrepreneurship, BelTA learned from Oleg Dikun, Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Youth Union.

The first Russian-Belarusian youth business incubator has opened at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Moscow. It enrolled 20 people: 10 from each country. These are young innovators and entrepreneurs aged 18-35 who want to run international projects, start tech businesses and do research projects.

“Projects from Belarus and Russia were presented during the opening ceremony of the business incubator. These projects cover areas like medicine, agriculture, IT, blockchain, robotics and others. During seven days students of the business incubator will work on joint projects, meet with potential partners and investors. Leading experts of the two countries will hold lectures and seminars on economic and innovative aspects of their businesses,” Oleg Dikun said.

Director of the International Programs Center of the Russian Union of Youth Aleksei Ezhov said that the work at the Russian-Belarusian youth business incubator will greatly benefit fledging entrepreneurs. “The organizers have a clear-cut view on how to promote joint entrepreneurship projects to be implemented by the incubator students in the territory of the Union State,” he noted.

The Russian-Belarusian youth business incubator is an international project aimed at encouraging innovative activities of fledgling entrepreneurs of Belarus and Russia. Its major goals are to help businesses grow taking advantage of cooperation between the youth of the two countries, to identify and promote promising projects and facilitate the exchange of best practices. After a training session, all the participants of the Russian-Belarus youth business incubator will get a certificate on advanced training from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
