BEGOML DISRICT, 11 October (BelTA) – Belarusians are strengthening the country’s environmental security by enriching the natural resources, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich said as he took part in the Bringing Forests Back to Life campaign, BelTA has learned.
Staff from the State Secretariat of the Security Council participated in the campaign, planting around 10,000 spruce and pine saplings in the Zamostochye forestry area of Begoml forestry enterprise.

The children of the Secretariat's staff also joined in the planting effort.
According to the state secretary, participation in such campaigns fosters high moral values and a deep appreciation for their homeland and its natural beauty in young people. “These initiatives help educate the next generation. We must teach them to treat nature with care. Outside of work, families can spend time together, work in the fresh air, and discuss important matters,” he emphasized.
The Bringing Forests Back to Life campaign will run across Belarus on 11-31 October. As in previous years, the forest restoration effort will span all regions of the country, with special attention given to areas affected by windfall and storm damage. The campaign is dedicated to the Year of Improvement.
