Russian airline Severstal launches regular flight from Cherepovets to Minsk

MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) – The Russian airline Severstal launched a regular flight on the route Cherepovets - Minsk – Cherepovets on 9 September, BelTA learned from the official Telegram channel of National Airport Minsk.

Minsk welcomed a Bombardier CRJ 200 with a water salute. The crew and passengers were treated to a traditional welcome of bread and salt," the airport said.

The first flight also carried Severstal General Director Nikolai Ivanovsky and Director of Transportation Eduard Solovyov.

In his welcoming speech, Director General of Minsk National Airport Vyacheslav Khoroneko noted that Belarus is happy to welcome Severstal as a partner again. "After almost an eight-year hiatus, Minsk National Airport again welcomes regular flights from Cherepovets. We hope that the air service between Cherepovets and Minsk will be growing popular, attracting both business passengers and tourists," Vyacheslav Khoroneko noted.
