PM calls to decide on funding of new Belarus-Russia satellite soon

MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – We need to determine the funding of the new Belarusian-Russian satellite soon, Belarus Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov in Minsk on 3 February, BelTA has learned.

“We need to make a decision regarding the financing of the Belarusian-Russian joint project to set up an earth remote sensing device as soon as possible,” said Roman Golovchenko.

In his opinion, Belarusian and Russian companies have the infrastructure and the potential to carry out joint research in the radioelectronic industry. Roman Golovchenko also spoke in favor of equal competitive conditions. “We need to discuss the ways to remove barriers so that the companies could cooperate more closely,” said the Belarusian head of government.
