MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) will take part in the international open games Tractor Biathlon in Udmurtia on 6 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the company.
“We will not reveal all the details, but we definitely plan to compete for the victory, and to organize an exhibition of machinery. We hope that the epidemiological situation will allow us to implement our plans,” said Sergei Petukhov, Deputy Head of MTZ Protocol and Advertising Department.
The race will be held over a cross-country terrain on BELARUS-82 tractors. Driving skills, speed in overcoming obstacles, and target shooting will be tested.
The Kamskie Dali tourist complex on the bank of the Kama River in Votkinsky District will be the venue for this year's event.
In 2019, MTZ also participated in the Tractor Biathlon in Udmurtia and won the women's event. The victory was secured by test driver with 30 years of experience Elena Orlova. MTZ hosted the world's first tractor biathlon competitions in Smorgon District, Grodno Oblast in 2018.
