
MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – The 32nd Minsk International Book Fair will be running in the Belarusian capital from 12 to 16 March, Belarusian Deputy Information Minister Denis Yezersky told the media, BelTA has learned.
Since Belarus holds chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in 2025, the central exhibitor will be an interactive collective stand of the EAEU member states devoted to a common theme - the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
According to Denis Yezersky, visitors will have an opportunity to get a better insight into cultural and literary traditions of the EAEU member states that will be kindly presented by their embassies.
"We are happy with the number of applications this year. Currently, more than 500 exhibitors from 21 countries have shown interest in the event. The UAE and Cuba have confirmed their participation. That is, the geography will be quite diverse. We will have an opportunity to get acquainted with literary works of these countries," Denis Yezersky said.
Each day of the fair will celebrate a member state of the EAEU:
The guests of the event will be able to fully submerge themselves in cultural and literary traditions of the participating countries. "We are really glad that the embassies of these countries have gotten on board with our idea. I am sure that the national day events will offer every visitor a new perspective on these countries," the deputy information minister said, stressing that the exhibition will be worth visiting on every day.
The opening ceremony will be held on 12 March at 12.00.
