Minister: Belarus, Iran are committed to deepening cooperation

MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) - Belarus holds its relations with Iran in high esteem, Belarusian Industry Minister Aleksandr Yefimov said during an event to mark the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran on 11 February, BelTA has learned.

“For many years our countries have been developing cooperation in various areas: economy, trade, culture and education. Belarus and Iran have a huge potential for deepening bilateral ties. I am convinced that due to our joint efforts Belarus and Iran will be able to reach a new strategic level of interaction,” the minister said.

Aleksandr Yefimov emphasized: “In the face of global challenges and changes, our states can work together and should do it to achieve common goals and ensure stability and prosperity. Over the past few years, Belarus and Iran actively worked together to ensure further sustainable development in accordance with the comprehensive cooperation roadmap between the Republic of Belarus and the Islamic Republic of Iran signed during the visit of the Belarusian head of state to Tehran in March 2023,” he added.

The minister summarized: “We are looking forward to the future of Belarusian-Iranian relations with enthusiasm. I am confident that our cooperation will continue developing for the benefit of the peoples of our countries."
