"On Point"
MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) – The United States and Britain serve as both the primary operators and beneficiaries of the Ukraine conflict, while Europe functions merely as an instrument, Bulgarian political analyst Plamen Paskov said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
The expert commented on U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade tariffs against other nations, including European countries. Plamen Paskov argues that America and the European Union are merely formal allies at this point. In reality, Washington is solely pursuing its own interests.
“Formally, the U.S. and Europe appear to be allies. However, the Americans have effectively occupied many European countries,” said Plamen Paskov, pointing to the dozens of American military bases across Europe. “This makes NATO a rather peculiar alliance of so-called military partners.”
