MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – Kiev plans to continue military operations in 2027, as evidenced by the drafting of Ukraine’s budget for the coming year, former Prime Minister of Ukraine (2010-2014) Nikolai Azarov said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.
“I see no signs of a peace agreement being prepared in terms of real politics. Take the actions of the Kiev regime, for example. I know that the 2027 budget is currently being prepared,” Nikolai Azarov said. “I myself worked as finance minister, so I know that in March and April, preparations for next year’s budget begin. It is quite logical that the Kiev regime and its Finance Ministry are now working on the 2027 budget.”

According to the former prime minister of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky has instructed that the 2027 budget be prepared with military expenditures roughly equal to those of 2026. “What does this mean? It means that they are planning military operations for 2027. Accordingly, military expenditures and everything related to that are being planned,” he emphasized.

At the same time, Nikolai Azarov noted that about three-quarters of Ukraine’s budget consists of various forms of Western aid: grants, loans, and subsidies. “But it is not that important. In any case, the real actions aimed at planning war are quite obvious,” the former Ukrainian prime minister concluded.
