MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) - A delegation of the Women's Union of Russia is set to visit Belarus on 29 September-2 October at the invitation of the Belarusian Union of Women, BelTA learned from member of the Presidium of the Belarusian Union of Women, head of the representative office of the Standing Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in Minsk Marianna Shchetkina.
In her words, a delegation of the Women's Union of Russia in such a representative composition will come to Minsk for the first time. “We are expecting to welcome the leadership of the Women's Union of Russia, heads of enterprises, successful entrepreneurs and MPs of the State Duma. The Union State Standing Committee will help organize two round tables to discuss the role of women in the modern world and develop common approaches to solving global problems,” said Marianna Shchetkina.
Particular attention will be paid to a mission of women for a secure and stable future, integration and cooperation. Regional and united organizations of the Belarusian Union of Women will take an active part in the discussion.
The approaches developed in the course of joint work will be announced at the Third Eurasian Women's Forum.
