CIS considers unified digital platform

MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – Special consultations were held at the headquarters of the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk on 25 August, BelTA learned from the legal department of the CIS Executive Committee.

Representatives of Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and the CIS Executive Committee took part in the consultations. Participants discussed improvements to the CIS functioning and current rules for assigning quota-based positions, including the appointment and rotation of deputy secretaries-general and other officials in the CIS Executive Committee.

Special attention was paid to the need to streamline the agendas of CIS supreme bodies meetings, to optimize sectoral cooperation bodies and base organizations, and to allocate quota-based positions for the upcoming period. The Tajik side put forward a proposal to create a unified digital platform within the CIS framework.

The participants agreed to continue consultations on these matters in December 2025.
