Christmas tree in Minsk third highest in CIS

MINSK, 4 January (BelTA) – The main Christmas tree in Minsk is one of the five highest Christmas trees in the CIS, BelTA learned from the TurStat analytical agency.

TurStat compiled a ranking of the highest Christmas trees installed in the capitals of the CIS member states in the run-up to the New Year. The top five include Christmas trees in Ashgabat (41m), Tashkent (36m), Minsk (30m), Nur Sultan (25m), and Bishkek (25m).

Russia's main Christmas tree is a 25m high tree in Sobornaya Square of the Moscow Kremlin. Russia's highest Christmas tree is in Krasnoyarsk and is 55m high, same as last year.
