MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – Belarus and China enjoy effective cooperation in education, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan said during his visit to the Alexandria Secondary School in Mogilev Oblast, BelTA learned from the Chinese embassy in Belarus.
In his speech, the ambassador emphasized: “China and Belarus are comprehensive strategic partners, having achieved productive cooperation in education and other areas.”
With the support of the Embassy of China in Belarus, which supplied the necessary educational equipment, the school has established the TechnoStar engineering and technology center.
“I hope that in the future the center will nurture even more talented specialists who will contribute to Belarus’ national development and promote friendly cooperation between China and Belarus,” the diplomat said.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairwoman of the Shklov District Executive Committee of Mogilev Oblast Irina Rainchik, Director of the Alexandria Secondary School Yekaterina Petrovskaya, and representatives of the teaching staff and students.
The school director thanked the embassy for providing the equipment and noted the importance of establishing the center.
Deputy Chairwoman of the Shklov District Executive Committee Irina Rainchik stressed that Belarus is keen to further enhance cooperation with China and continuously strengthen Belarusian-Chinese friendship.
The event program included a visit to the China Through My Eyes children’s art exhibition and featured performances by the students of the school.
